Last November, I said enough. I was tired of feeling gross. I was tired of carrying extra weight, and I was tired of not feeling like myself mentally and physically. I committed to making some big changes. And in the process, I learned how to take better care of me.

Initially, I committed to 12 weeks of changing my eating patterns and focusing on how food impacted my body. While I did it under the guidance of Chalene Johnson’s 131 Method, which she calls her anti-diet plan, it was the first time that I was truly deciding and making choices for myself and not following what someone else insisted would help me lose weight or was the “magic” answer. I also listened when my body asked for more gentle and loving exercises, like walking and yoga, instead of the hard style body bashing workouts that I typically choose.

What a novel concept!

Our body might actually know what is best for US if we simply learn to listen to it! 🙂

I’ll be honest. I was blown away by the results.

I dropped more weight than I anticipated.

I feel better physically and mentally.

I have more energy.

I am empowered to make my own decisions about what feels right for my body.

My body, mind and spirit are in better alignment than ever.

I’ve talked about the details on this episode of Right Where You Are, and I plan to share more in the future. But sometimes, we stumble upon a memory and then catch a glimpse of ourself in the mirror and are overwhelmed with gratitude for our commitment to be our own LifeChanger.

Am I still in the midst of learning to live this lifestyle? Absolutely.

Am I currently at my ideal weight? No.

Have I consistently lived as a more aligned me for most of 2018? Yes!

I share this to honor my own journey and celebrate what a difference it has made to my life overall, but I also share this to encourage you that life change is possible. And it all comes down to your commitment and belief in yourself.

For you, it may not be about health. It could be your business, finances, parenting or (fill in the blank).

But here’s what I know: you can absolutely change your life if you want to. I know it to be true and I believe in YOUR power to do it. You can be your own Lifechanger.
