Here are the latest books I’ve added to the empty shelf. Since I read some on Kindle, and give some away, they may not all show in the picture.

#27 Sentness: Six Postures of Missional Christians by Kim Hammond and Darren Cronshaw

I recently met Kim when he spoke at our church. I love his heart for living in the present moment and making a difference in the world around us. This book is a great read and it challenges you to think about how you can start living missionally where you currently are.

#28 Stronger than Coffee: The Power of Community by the Tulsa 5 Club

This book has special meaning because it was written by friends from an online community called Dreamers & Builders. For the past year, they have been meeting at 5am every Friday morning to help challenge each other to dream and live life differently. #29 7: An Experimental Mutiny by Jen Hatmaker

7 is the true story of how Jen (along with her husband and her children to varying degrees) took seven months, identified seven areas of excess, and made seven simple choices to fight back against the modern-day diseases of greed, materialism, and overindulgence. This book made me stop and think about what excess looks like in my life and how I can learn to live with less.

#30 Podcasting Good to Great: How to Grow your Audience through Collaboration by Jared Easley

This was a great book from my friend Jared Easley. He provides a behind-the-scenes look at how podcasters can build influential platforms. He discusses various strategies for networking, even when you can’t leave home to attend pricey conferences. It provides a proven roadmap that will launch you into becoming a great connector and influencer, and ultimately a person that your audience will value even more. Jared is the real deal, and has helped me and so many others learn that generosity and noticing people are so important. I’d love it if you’d check it out and support Jared.

#31 The Noticer Returns by Andy Andrews

I loved this book. It was a gift from my friend Matt Ham (you should check out all the awesome stuff he is doing.) I love receiving and giving books as gifts! This was a really easy read packed with powerful messages. This is one of my favorite quotes:

“One seed, carefully tended, contains within it the power to change the world, for that single seed can yield an uncountable and ever-increasing number of seeds just as valuable.”

WOW! That is so true. I’m a big fan of Andy Andrews’ writing, and would highly recommend it. I passed this on to someone else, who I’m hoping will continue to pass it on to others.
