Dream Year Giveaway!

dreamyear

Last week, I had the privilege of attending Ben Arment’s Dream Year Pitch night. I love having the opportunity to meet others who are living differently and pursuing their dreams. Here are a few examples of the awesome dreams we heard about.

My friend Isabel pitched her dream of her online coaching program. You can hear a recording of her pitch here. I really liked her thought provoking question of “Is your DOING in alignment with your BEING?”

I also loved meeting Holly Combs from Department of Public Words. Her dream is to inspire and encourage youth. I loved her message and how she is making a difference in her community. One of my favorite quotes of hers is, “Be a VOICE, not an echo.” Follow her on Twitter to see some of the really cool art they are installing with their messages.

I was really inspired by the dream of Cravely. They are supporting local businesses by helping to manage and promote their menus online in easy to search formats. They also help you find the food that you crave. What a cool idea!

I loved the heart and passion behind Wildy Co. They are focused on ethically made kids clothes and passionate about making a difference with their business. Mike and Hayley Morgan were incredibly engaging, and I look forward to watching where their story and dream goes in the months and years ahead. They are in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign to fund their kickoff.

These are just a few of the dreams that we heard at Pitch Night Indy. I loved having the chance to meet them and also to support Ben, who has been a huge influence on me learning to dream again and living life differently. One thing he said that really stuck out to me regarding our dreams was this: “Frustration is the human engine light on the dashboard of life.”

Don’t ignore the frustration you are feeling. It could be pointing you towards something you are called to do.

I have an extra copy of the book. I had Ben sign it, and I am so excited to share it with one of you!

Simply leave a comment on why you want to read the book, and I’ll randomly pick a winner on Saturday morning.

Love to read and have always been curious about Dream Year. A friend of mine went through it a few years ago and loved it.

This is something I’ve been struggling with for a few years now. Reading Jon’s book and being in D&B have helped some, but I’m still not in the place where I’ve thought I would be. This book seems like it could be a great read to help me get there!
