Empty Shelf Challenge Book 9 and 10
I’ve joined Jon Acuff and thousands of others in committing to reading and filling an empty shelf this year. It has been so fun!
Here are quick reviews of Book 9 and 10.
Book #9 – Lasting Impressions: From Visiting to Belonging by Mark Waltz
This was a book I read for my new job as the Connections & Growth Director. It is all about how to welcome people into your community and help them get connected. I really enjoyed this book. It’s not for everyone, obviously, but if you are involved in church ministry and are looking for ideas for how to get people better connected, this is a great book for you.
Book #10 – Restless by Jennie Allen
I really enjoyed this book. I’ve recently started reading more of Jennie’s work, and the first thing that comes across is her heart. She is passionate about what she does. She’s also very honest about how she fought God for many years on her true calling. Wow, could I relate to that!
This book is her honest and heartfelt words about so many things. Why we feel restless, how to keep moving forward, and becoming who we are intended to be. I highly recommend this one!
You can read about the previous books I have read this year here, here, and here.
What are you reading? I’d love to hear!
