I am me, not you
I am me. I am not you.
I can learn from you, but I cannot be you.
I can be encouraged by you, but I will never be you.
In fact, I don’t want to be you.
I am learning how to truly be ME.
But sometimes I get twisted up into wanting to be you, or someone else. I foolishly think you seem to have it all figured out.
Maybe you do, but most likely you’ve just learned to be you.
Sometimes I allow this to escalate and make me feel like I don’t fit in anywhere.
I allow myself to feel small.
Why do I do this to myself?
I know I am me.
I know I have something to offer the world that only I can provide.
I know I am uniquely made.
There is only one me.
I will celebrate you.
I will encourage you.
I will help you and support you.
But I will not try to be you.
I will be me.
Will you join me and be fully YOU?
A beautiful message, Tammy! Thanks you for your encouraging words to be fully who we are. I’m joining you in being fully me! Blessings.
Thanks, Beth! I love it! If we can all learn to fully be ourselves, imagine what we can do!
As always you hit the nail on the head. If we would all just do more of this, the world would be a better place. Help, encourage and then repeat over and over!!
So true!
I am right there with you, Tammy! 🙂
Thanks, Amy!
Love this, Tammy. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks, Sundi Jo!
