Win a copy of The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon

 In Uncategorized

I just finished readingĀ The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. I won a copy from Chris Locurto’s blog, and I really enjoyed it. It is a simple story about a man who is just coasting through life, feeling like he has no purpose. His marriage is falling apart and he is in jeopardy of losing his job. He can’t understand why the team he is leading is not following him or working together.

Like many of us, he needed a wake up call. He needed someone to remind him that there is more to life than just being ordinary and grumpy.

512+ZEYdHZL__AA300_One of my favorite quotes from the book continues to stick with me, and is something that I am continually trying to live out.

“Find the bigger purpose in the here and now and your purpose will find you.”

I love to share great books, so I’m giving away a copy of The Energy Bus to one of you. It is a quick read, but packed full of powerful ideas and reminders for how to live with purpose and make an impact where you are.

How do you feel about the bus you are driving? Could you use some inspiration?

Leave a comment below, and I will randomly pick a winner tomorrow.

I’d love to win a copy of The Energy Bus. I read The Seed by Jon Gordon a little over a year ago, and it was just what I needed at the right time. As a leader in my organization, I think The Energy Bus could provide some great inspiration for my leadership.

I just read The Seed, too, before this one. I really liked it as well, and it was really impactful for me personally. This book is great for personal leadership as well as leading teams in your organization.

I completely agree that finding the bigger purpose will completely change your outlook and thus change your mood about your situation. I would love to read that book to gain more insight on this. Sometimes it is hard to to maintain that mindset when there are lulls in life, but if you can keep going back to finding the bigger purpose,it really does help. Great post Tammy (as always)!

Thanks, Scott. I love reading books like this because it does help keep my perspective. It’s so simple, but sometimes we don’t see it because we are distracted by everything going on in life.

Tammy, I am slowly figuring out what my bus is, and it is very exciting. For me, it has been a slow process but I am finding traction now

That’s awesome! I can relate, Chris. The journey has been slow but exciting to figure out where God is leading and to actually follow instead of fighting and trying to have it my way!

This sounds very good, and especially relevant. I’ve been buying a lot of my books on Kindle. I think I’ll follow your example and buy paper copies to give away when I finish them.
