Are you at war with your art?
Welcome to the final day of Sharing Great Books!
Congratulations to Rachel Nibbe, who was the winner of Unglued.
This has been a really fun series for me. I love books, and sharing them with others always makes me happy!
Today’s book was one I had heard about for a long time. So many people told me how great it was and that I needed to read it. But, for some reason I kept putting it off.
I had the chance to read it recently. It did not disappoint.
It’s simple and very easy to read.
But it is also extremely profound and timeless.
For a long time, I battled with calling myself creative or artistic. I’ve since learned that we are all artists in our own way. This book helps you push through what the author calls “resistance” and bring your art into the world.
It’s about learning to stop making excuses and to push through to take action.
So, what do you need to push past and get started on? Be sure to leave a comment to be entered to win this great book.
I’ve heard many things about this book, and I’d love to have a copy to read. I need to push through my own delays to start putting together my first eBook.
I am in that same process myself right now too!
I haven’t heard of this one but it sounds intriguing! Thanks for doing this series. It’s been fun observing and being a part! 😉
Thanks, Heidi! It has been very fun!
I was just beating myself up this AM about how uncreative I am. Sounds like I should read this book.
Definitely, Deb! It really helps us see that we can push through.
I’ve been waiting to see this book go up. I need to push past the fear and insecurity in my life. I see victories but then get overwhelmed by the minor defeats. Makes no sense but I know it’s the resistance. Gotta get past that.
It can be so hard, can’t it Joe? The resistance can be so big.
That it can Tammy. Thankfully I’ve got some great friends that are helping me push forward.
Ironically I just started reading it!
It is amazing. I mean…got me thinking all day about it amazing.
I know. It really was good.
This is another book that’s been recommended to me a bunch of times but I don’t have.
I was the same way for a long time. It’s good!
Many people suggest this book, but I’ve yet to read it. I need to push past many excuses – no time, not good enough, no one will read it.
