I usually give accolades to those who adopt and tell them how I think what they do is wonderful. I have always thought I would adopt. Who knows what God has in store for us …
It’s unbelievable to me that there are so many children around the world in need of loving homes, yet for whatever reason… red tape, politics, corruption, etc… it’s becoming more and more difficult for those wanting to adopt to be able to adopt. I have some friends right now in Ethiopia who are trying to get home with their daughter. Unfortunately, the corruption they’ve faced has extended their stay, but they are determined not to leave without their daughter. Right now, I’m in prayer mode… for them, as well as other friends who are trying to adopt. I’ve participated in fundraisers to help friends adopt… which I think is a wonderful thing… communities working together to make the world a better place.
So true, Michelle. It is heartbreaking to hear of so many families who want to adopt, but the corruption is difficult to break through. Kim’s story is incredible to me as she fought the system and saved her son’s life. Thanks for stopping by!
This book looks very interesting! I’m an adoptive parent myself, and it breaks my heart that so many kids go unadopted. One thing people can do to help the orphan crisis is start up an adoption ministry at church… a ministry in which the church collects donations from individuals and provides lump sums of money to attenders who have the desire to adopt, but are lacking the funds to do so. Steven Curtis Chapman’s Show Hope organization’s website (www.showhope.org) has information regarding how to start up a ministry like this. Or you can donate toward Show Hope’s adoption grant fund.
Dear Tammy, one of my newest friends! Thank you for your wonderful review. So very thoughtful. Thank you for sharing your talent and time on the book launch team. I look forward to us meeting face-to-face one day…soon! ~ Kim

Thanks, Debi. Kim’s story of adoption is incredible. Adoption always has a special place in my heart.
I can’t wait to read this! Sounds like it’s right up my alley. There are so many kids I wish I could just bring home and take care of!
It is great!
