Life begins right where you are.

Do you serve?

One of the things I love to do is serve. I love to be a part of something that helps me step outside of my own circumstances and do something good for others.

I serve at my church. I serve in other community activities. And I am a different person because of it. It helps me understand that life is not about me.

So, here are my questions for you today.

1. Why do you serve?

2. What are some cool ways that you serve others?

3. What have the organizations that you are helping done to let you know you are appreciated?

I can’t wait to hear from you!

  1. Yes! Serving is something I love to do. I love being in a supportive position. Although, lately I’ve been in a couple leadership roles, the supportive role is where I am most comfortable.

  2. Serving is one of my passions in life, and I am so blessed that I get to do so all the time. I also get to organize opportunities for others to serve as I’m the “outreach coordinator” for my church.
One of my most favorite ways to serve is at one of the local soup kitchens in my town. I’ve been serving there for the past couple of years now, and the most rewarding aspect is being able to build friendships with the folks who come to the kitchen. Seeing their faces & hearing their stories makes it worthwhile.

  3. I feel no greater joy than when I am serving someone else. What a shame that I don’t do it more often!

Strange how we often pray to God asking for opportunities to serve Him, while all around us there are thousands of people in our midst that could use some help. šŸ˜‰
